“Lifting All Communities” was the topic for a day-long forum. Attended by 2,000 District residents, the focus of discussions was how to better serve the community by: developing youth programs, expanding jobs for citizens, rebuilding the library system and creating an inclusive city through housing and economic development.
LGBT Citizen Summit
The LGBT Citizen Summit is a public event for gathering and organizing views and input from LGBT residents about the priorities of District government officials in relation to city governance and administration of resources. The LGBT Citizen Summit encourages participation from the diverse LGBT community (e.g. race, culture, age, class).
