Hypothermia Information
 
Temperatures are dropping to dangerous lows. Hypothermia is a condition that can occur when the temperature falls below 32. The District of Columbia provides residents with information on helping others to stay warm. 
 
Quick Facts
  • Hypothermia Shelter Hotline: (202) 399-7093
    The Shelter Hotline provides transportation to emergency shelters, and distributes items such as blankets, gloves and jackets.
  • Department of Human Services instituted a Hypothermia Watch Program which garners resources from other District agencies, local businesses and community organizations.
