Get Access to Low-Cost Prescription Drugs 
 

DC residents can easily order low-cost prescription drugs by mail or fax through a Minnesota state website. The website, called RxConnect, provides information on safety and cost-saving tips and access to low-cost medication from Canada. Find out more below. Also read about DC’s new AccessRx program that will allow the District to negotiate cheaper prescription drug prices on behalf of low-income and elderly DC residents.

  • Be aware: federal law prohibits US residents from purchasing pharmaceuticals from other countries while inside the United States; however the law is currently not being enforced (see Legal Information for more on this topic).

    AccessRx helps low-income, elderly and uninsured DC residents obtain lower-priced prescription drugs. The program is funded through a variety of cost containment measures including manufacturer rebates, pharmacy discounts and aggregate purchasing for other government pharmaceutical assistance programs.
